Houston, TX- WOLFCOM, a leading manufacturer of Police Body Cameras recently donated 40 WOLFCOM VISION Body Cameras, Docking Stations and Evidence Management Software to the Texas Southern University Police Department.

The donated body cameras were made through www.BodyCameraDonations.com. The website allows law enforcement agencies to register for body camera donations and encourages the public to contribute funds to a specific department or a general fund for all departments.

“We’re very pleased to donate to Texas Southern University Police Department and happy that they are the very first police department to benefit from BodyCameraDonations.com. These WOLFCOM Visions and our Evidence Management Software will be additional tools to help these officers each day and I’m glad that they will have the benefit of these cameras,” said WOLFCOM Founder Peter Austin Onruang.

Chief Remon Green of the Texas Southern University Police Department says his department is grateful for the donated body cameras and eager to use the newer WOLFCOM VISIONS. “We’re absolutely excited to be receiving the new WOLFCOM VISION. We’ve utilized the WOLFCOM 3RD EYE for a number of years and have been very pleased with the equipment. The new VISION body cameras are smaller, more user friendly and allow for our officers more placement options to capture different angles because of the VISION’s rotatable lens,” said Green.

Chief Green says his department has seen the value of using body cameras as a new law enforcement tool and says the new WOLFCOM VISIONS will save the department time and money and help them do their jobs better. “Body cameras are the wave of the future of police work. They allow officers to capture video evidence of events in real time. They protect the citizens and our officers. Using body cameras cuts down complaints and administrative costs,” said Green.
